OCEAN FREIGHT

EU Shipping

If you've tried shipping to Europe in the last few years, you already know the joke: it's not the ocean crossing that's hard, it's everything that happens on either side of it. Post-Brexit customs on UK-bound cargo, separate VAT and EORI regimes across the EU, Amazon FBA delivery appointments that slip for weeks, and the moment you add a private customer address into the mix, the "simple sea freight quote" you got from a forwarder suddenly sprouted five surcharges.
That's the problem our EU Shipping product is built around. We're Orient Globe (GES Global Logistics), a China-based International Logistics forwarder headquartered in Dongguan and moving cargo out of South China since 1999 — but the Europe side of the business isn't an afterthought. It's a dedicated lane, with our own warehouses, our own customs licenses, and a team that has gotten used to the way UK and EU rules actually work, not the way they look on a flowchart.

Where we actually deliver

We run China to Europe ocean freight to five core markets — the UK, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy — using both sea freight + truck (sea truck) and sea freight + last-mile parcel delivery. That means we can deliver to Amazon FBA centers, to commercial B2B addresses, and all the way to private residential addresses, not just to a port depot where your customer has to arrange their own pickup.
Two lanes get most of our volume: our dedicated UK FBA special line and our Germany FBA special line. If you sell on Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.de, you already know how different those two ecosystems are — different appointment systems, different labeling quirks, different rules for what can and can't be received into an FBA warehouse. We've handled enough of both that we don't need you to explain it twice.

Ships we actually book on

We don't pretend to have space on every carrier in the world. In practice, the sailings that earn their keep on this lane are:
  • COSCO AEU1 express service out of East China — our preferred self-cleared sea route, with Yantian → Felixstowe transits running around 24 days.
  • Evergreen CEM express service — Yantian → Rotterdam in roughly 29 days, covering the Benelux and the wider EU feed.
  • EMC express sailings for the more price-sensitive FBA restocks, where the two-day transit difference isn't worth the rate gap.
If you've been burned by a "direct" sailing that actually bounced off Singapore and Algeciras, you'll appreciate that we quote you the actual T/T time, not the marketing version.

Warehouses on the ground — not a reshipper's address

Here's where we differ from forwarders who "partner" with a random third-party warehouse in Europe. We own the floor space:
  • UK side: overseas warehouses at both Southampton Port and Felixstowe Port, plus a 40,000 sq ft integrated bonded warehouse that lets us run single-ticket supervision and in-warehouse customs clearance. We have our own carrier reservation account, which means your express deliveries into FBA centers don't get bumped to the back of someone else's queue.
  • EU side: overseas warehouses in Liège (Belgium) and Duisburg (Germany), with the German facility running about 70,000 sq ft. That German warehouse holds Amazon Freight Preferred direct-delivery qualification, and we use multiple carrier accounts to route DPD deliveries into the most popular FBA centers — usually at better rates than you'd get booking direct.
What that means operationally: when your container gets unpacked, we can split it, relabel it, hold stock for a restock, and deliver to FBA or direct to a B2B customer without your cargo changing hands three times between strangers.

Customs on both ends, handled

We hold a local customs clearance license on the European side, so we can operate in parallel — the China side team books and declares export, and the Europe side team handles import clearance, duty calculation, and last-mile booking at the same time. No waiting for a broker to wake up on their side of the clock.
We offer the terms you'd expect — DDP, DDU, FOB, and door to door to Amazon UK, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy — and we'll tell you upfront whether DDP actually makes sense for your commodity. If you're VAT-registered in the UK or EU and want to handle duties yourself, we'll price that out separately; if you're a brand that wants a single landed cost with zero surprises, we'll wrap it into a duty paid quote with no "additional payments when the truck arrives" clauses.
Our Chinese operations team running the Europe desk has been doing this long enough that our inspection rate on this lane consistently stays under 2%. That number sounds boring until you've had a container pulled for inspection at Felixstowe and watched an FBA appointment slip by ten days.

The boring FAQ, answered straight

  • Who do we move cargo for? E-commerce sellers (FBA and beyond), traditional B2B exporters, and brands doing retail rollouts across the UK and EU.
  • What's included? Ocean FCL and LCL, air freight when you need it, express via UPS / DHL / FedEx for small parcels, customs clearance, labeling, storage, cargo insurance, and product sourcing if you need help finding a supplier in the Pearl River Delta.
  • My supplier can't export on their own papers. No problem — we can handle the export declaration and the export-license piece, so you don't need your own trading company behind you.
  • How do I get a quote? Send us the product, HS code, weight, volume, origin city, and destination (an FBA warehouse ID helps), and our team will come back with a real quote — not a placeholder rate that moves when the boat sails.
If you're currently shipping to the UK or EU through a forwarder who treats it like a generic "Europe lane," send us your last invoice. We'll show you where the surcharges are hiding, and whether our UK and German warehouse setup can get your FBA restocks moving on more predictable timelines.
