Here's the thing about sea shipping from China to USA: everyone says they have "fast" service, but half the time that means a boat that was supposed to leave Yantian on Tuesday actually leaves on Friday, sits at anchor off LA for five days, and then waits another week for an FBA appointment. By the time your container shows up, your Q4 promo is already over.
That's the gap our Fast Shipping To USA product is built to close. We're Orient Globe (GES Global Logistics), a China-based International Logistics forwarder headquartered in Dongguan and moving cargo out of South China since 1999. On this lane specifically, we run long-standing direct contracts with MATSON, COSCO, and Evergreen, plus EMC and CMA for the more price-sensitive restocks — no middleman layers, no "we'll book through our partner" markup, and a rate we'll quote you up front.
What "fast" actually means on this lane
We're not going to pretend a container moves at the speed of a plane. But the difference between a good fast-sea product and a generic "ocean freight to US" quote comes down to three things: which boat you book, when you clear customs, and what happens after the container hits the dock.
In practice:
-
West Coast in about 15 working days. We use EMC and CMA sailings with advance customs filing, which shaves the port dwell time down on the US side. Cargo can then be delivered by truck or by express parcel to wherever it needs to go — an FBA center, your warehouse, or a customer's loading dock.
-
Real MATSON contract space. MATSON is the sailing every Amazon seller asks about, and we hold actual allocated space on it rather than begging for spot bookings in peak season. It's not the cheapest boat on the water, but it's the one that shows up when the schedule says it will.
-
FCL and LCL both. We handle full containers out of Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai, and Ningbo — the four ports where we actually have contract leverage — and less-than-container loads for sellers who can't fill a 40HQ on their own.
If you're comparing quotes right now, ask the other forwarder one question: "what's the actual FMC tariff and the PSS surcharge this week?" If they can't answer on the spot, you're getting a placeholder rate that will move before your container sails.
The 20% thing, explained properly
You'll see forwarders advertise "save 20% on sea shipment from China to USA" and it usually means they shave a bit off the retail rate and call it a deal. Our version is more straightforward: because we run direct contracts with the carriers above — and because our volume out of the Pearl River Delta is large enough that we're not buying space on the spot market — our baseline USA Sea Freight rate lands roughly 20% below what you'd get walking in as a one-off shipper. We'll show you the carrier tariff and our markup separately, so you can see exactly where the number comes from.
Door to door, not door to port
A lot of "fast shipping" quotes stop at the US port. Ours doesn't. We run the full chain: booking, export customs declaration, duty and tax handling, US import clearance, drayage out of the terminal, and final delivery. On the visibility side, the same real time logistics tracking we use on our air products follows the container from Yantian to the last-mile truck — no black-box gap between "vessel departed" and "container available for pickup."
We also pair this lane with our own overseas warehouses in LA and Chicago, which means if your container arrives and needs unpacking, palletizing, relabeling, or split-delivery between FBA centers and direct-to-consumer orders, we can do it under our own roof rather than farming it out. And we offer cargo insurance — if something does go wrong in transit, the claim process runs through us rather than you chasing a carrier's claims department across a 12-hour time difference.
When you actually need air instead
Here's a piece of honesty most forwarders won't put on a product page: if your cargo is under 200 kg and the FBA restock window is under a week, don't book fast sea. Book China to USA air freight or an express service — our UPS Worldwide Express Saver China to USA or a DHL/FedEx product will get it there in 3–5 days, and it'll likely cost less than rushing a sea shipment through peak-season detention and demurrage. We'll tell you that straight, because a 50 kg emergency parcel doesn't belong on a boat.
For sellers who are also moving product in from Latin America, we can coordinate the inbound leg too — our DHL shipping from Mexico to USA handoff is available if your supplier has a manufacturing foot south of the border, though that's a secondary lane for us rather than the main event.
How to get a real quote
Send us four things: the product and HS code, the actual weight and CBM, the origin port (Shenzhen / Guangzhou / Shanghai / Ningbo), and the destination (an FBA warehouse ID, a commercial address, or a residential one). We'll come back with:
- The carrier and sailing schedule (MATSON vs EMC vs CMA, not "we'll figure it out later")
- Port-to-port and door-to-door prices, quoted separately
- The realistic FBA appointment window, not the best-case marketing number
If you've been burned by a "fast sea" product that turned out to be a slow boat with a marketing budget, send us your last booking. We'll show you where the time disappeared, and whether China fast shipping to USA on one of our contract sailings does it better.
